She really knows a lot more than this but apparently she really wants to go outside after a few seconds.

Kira gets her first haircut.

Not a huge change, we just evened it up so it looks better when its down and will grow long evenly.  She did really good getting her hair cut.  She sat real still and moved her head wherever the stylist wanted her to. I think she really had a fun morning.

Kira broke her arm.

On Father's day Kira took a little tumble off my legs (I was laying on our bed) and onto the floor, unfortunately she landed on her hand and it broke both bones in her right arm. She handled the whole thing so well.  She cried over being scared but not really from the pain.  She didn't even cry once we were at the hospital. They set the bones and gave her a soft cast and then re-x rayed the arm and found out she had to have one of the bones reset...So hard to watch! She was home by 11pm and had to sit all Monday with the soft cast but Tuesday morning we went to the doctor and she picked a very bright orange cast and life is much better.   In three weeks (Two days before we travel to Michigan) she will go in and have the long cast taken off and will either have a short cast (which can be water proof), a splint or nothing.  Fingers are crossed for nothing!  She was such a brave little girl and we are so proud of how she handled herself.

 I finally got around to checking our friends (the Merryweathers) blog and saw they had posted pictures from the zoo so I grabbed a few that had my girlies in them.

When we moved into our house we decided to keep the girl's bathroom  more grown up since it  was also our guest bath but now that the basement is almost ready, I decided to start buying stuff to make the girl's bathroom well, a girl's bathroom.

Kit is 2 years and 1 month.

Kit has passed the 2 year mark and is doing fantastic.  She is such a busy kid and loves to be outside playing in her playhouse and on the trampoline.  She sings and talks up a storm and is such a sweet girl. Her new favorite thing to say is "That sure is funny alright." So cute.

Kira is 3 years and 9 months!

Kira is 3 years and 9 months old.  She is growing like a weed!  This last picture was so sweet, Kira had come into our room about 5am and fell asleep with Chewy.  They are so cute together.  Kira also had a new milestone reached when there was a knock on my door and a neighborhood kid was asking if Kira could come out and play!!! How is she big enough to have friends coming over to get her to play??  She is also signed up to start preschool in the fall! I know, how could little Kira be starting preschool?? She is a good kid who listens and has just a wee bit of attitude but we are working on that.  Yesterday she told me she was an animal so I asked her what kind of animal she was and she says "I'm a woman".  What a kid, I had such a hard time not laughing at her.  We love her like crazy and she is such fun to watch.
