On Father's day Kira took a little tumble off my legs (I was laying on our bed) and onto the floor, unfortunately she landed on her hand and it broke both bones in her right arm. She handled the whole thing so well. She cried over being scared but not really from the pain. She didn't even cry once we were at the hospital. They set the bones and gave her a soft cast and then re-x rayed the arm and found out she had to have one of the bones reset...So hard to watch! She was home by 11pm and had to sit all Monday with the soft cast but Tuesday morning we went to the doctor and she picked a very bright orange cast and life is much better. In three weeks (Two days before we travel to Michigan) she will go in and have the long cast taken off and will either have a short cast (which can be water proof), a splint or nothing. Fingers are crossed for nothing! She was such a brave little girl and we are so proud of how she handled herself. |

Ah! This reminds me of Talia breaking her collarbone... it is so hard to watch, but little ones are SO RESILIENT! We know she'll heal up quickly. Hugs from T-n-T!
I actually thought of you guys right after Kira did this! I know it won't last long and I think Kira got off easier then Talia. Any suggestions on fun things for Kira to do while the cast is on?? She can't go in water, sand or on playground equipment :(
